RiverMend Health Centers provides a safe, sober Structured Living Program for those who are participating in our Intensive Outpatient or Partial Hospitalization Program. There are many benefits to a structured living environment including the ability for individuals to develop or strengthen essential life and interpersonal skills to help during recovery. While residing in one of our appointed homes, residents gain employment/education guidance and increase their sense of personal accountability. Community is another primary benefit of our structured living program as individuals are able to gain support and encouragement from their peers who are also facing the same challenges.
All individuals are encouraged to work or attend school, and are held accountable for household commitments in the home. Structured Living means there are rules and expectations that each individual must abide by. There are evening curfews and random substance screening to ensure compliance with the program. The ultimate objectives are to learn how to handle real-life scenarios, implement acquired relapse prevention skills and to build a network of positive support to help along the journey. Each appointed home has onsite certified addiction specialists who follow each person’s progress. Our staff is committed to ensuring that our Structured Living Program provides the tools and resources necessary for a successful and long-term recovery.
