Farida Scriber, MS, MS, LPAC, NCC, is a Primary Therapist at RiverMend Health Center of Atlanta. A Licensed Associate Professional Counselor and National Certified Counselor, Farida provides individual and group therapy for patients in treatment for addiction and dual disorders.
Farida has a Bachelor of Science in criminology, a Master of Science in psychology and a Master of Science in mental health counseling with a concentration in forensic counseling and trauma/crisis counseling. She is currently pursuing a doctorate in forensic psychology at Walden University.
She began her career working as a case manager for juveniles in the criminal justice system. She volunteers for the YWCA’s Victim’s Unit Program in Marietta, Ga., which assists women who have been victims of abuse or violence.
She has also served as a case manager/intake coordinator at a residential substance use and mental health treatment center.
At RiverMend Health Center of Atlanta, Farida serves as an LGBTQ group facilitator and is part of the multidisciplinary team that conducts biopsychosocial interviews and assessments of patients with trauma or pain-related disorders. She has served as a senior intake specialist and patient services coordinator. She currently focuses on providing therapy for both patients and their families, as well as mental health counseling and trauma therapy.
